Dr. Blair Smith has degrees in both biology and Spanish froom Wofford College in Spartanburg, South Carolina and received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Florida. Her professional interests include internal medicine and ultrasonic and radiographic imaging. She enjoys spending time with her husband and pets, and you can find her watching UF sports (GO GATORS!) in her spare time.
Dr. Allan Dozier, whoo opened Rea Road Animal Hospital in 2000, has over 40 years of experience as a veterinarian. He holds a BS in animal science from the University of Florida and earned his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at Auburn University. He has a special interest in surgery, including orthopedics. For many years, he has volunteered his services in caring for sick and injured wildlife and pet rescue groups. He enjoys fly fishing, woodworking, skiing, and gardening in his spare time.
Originally from Illinois, Dr. Pat Gillis received his BA in Asian studies from the University of Oklahoma. After a stint in the United States Navy, he received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Oklahoma State University in 1981 followed by his masters in large animal surgery from Texas A&M University. His veterinary interests include wound repair, dermatology, surgery, and nutrition. He enoys spending time with his adult children and his two pets in his spare time.
Dr. Jennifer Bryant received her B.A. in biology from Randolph-Macon Woman's College in 1990 and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Auburn University in 1994. She enjoys the varied nature of small animal practice and finds all areas interesting and rewarding. In her spare time, Dr. Bryant enjoys hiking, reading, traveling, gardening, and spending time with her husband and their cat.
Originally from Freeport, Long Island, Dr. Mara Michael received a Bachelor of Arts in social sciences from Hofstra University followed by her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Michigan State in 2002. Her veterinary interests include dental therapy, internal medicine, and soft tissue surgery. She and her husband live with their son and three pets.
Dr. Lauren Forhecz grew up in Tampa, FL and dreamt of becoming a veterinarian one day. She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine at Virginia Tech in 2014. After graduation, she moved to Charlotte, NC and practiced for six years at a small animal hospital. Dr. Forhecz special interests include soft tissue surgery and internal medicine and her biggest sense of satisfaction comes from making a difference in both her patient's and client's lives. She enjoys spending time with family, friends, and her Pomeranian, Pebbles in her free time. She also enjoys traveling, outdoor activities, and cheering on her favorite team - Go Hokies!
